I am head of music at a catholic secondary school. Having watched the video I purchased a set of 24 ukukekes from Purple Turtle in Stockport at a total cost of about £300. They have proved to be the best purchase ever. They are cheap, attractive, easy to play and store in a classroom.The pupils love them - especially the year 8 boys. Many of them have now purchased their own or have them on their Christmas list.I use them with all of my year 8 and 9 classes. There are loads of resources on the internet. I teach a few simple chords, put them up on the interactive board with lyrics and play along to the mp3 of the song. They will be featuring in the christmas concerts this year. Great fun.
