Becoming an Affiliate

  • Good understanding of the music education landscape in their region
  • Capacity to advocate, deliver and support Musical Futures programmes in their region

  • Background and introduction to Musical Futures
  • Just Play skills building
  • Informal learning in the music classroom
  • Find Your VoiceMLR2015_EmileHolba_LowRes-79
  • Songwriting
  • Classroom workshopping
  • Ensembles by ear

Followed up by a subsequent ‘train-the-trainers’ session involving:

  • Strategic planning
  • Building a community of practice
  • Establishing sustainable Professional Development through cascading training
  • Communications including social media, branding and representation
  • Website, resources and accessing and creating materials

Training and consultancy usually takes place in the Affiliate country, or nominated individuals can attend one of our International Training events in the UK or Malaysia, following which Affiliate status will be granted. To discuss fees, training and consultancy needs and opportunities please contact Alexandra Clarke (alexandra.clarke@musicalfutures.org).
