HOW TO TAKE PART:

Once downloaded, unzip the file by double-clicking it to view the components. Inside you will find:
- Loops – Variety of loops from the song that can be imported directly into your DAW of choice, then layered, mixed, chopped, looped… whatever you like! Includes Drums, Bass, Synths, Vocals and Sweeps. All loops are 4 bars long and are 123 beats per minute
- MIDI Files – These MIDI files match the corresponding audio files with the same name. These are great for using the same melodies from the track whilst using your own instrument sounds
- Acapellas – Full length vocal stems from the track. Features vocals and backing vocal audio files which can be useful if you want to remix the song whilst following it’s original structure
- Friday (full song) – An mp3 of the original track
Below you can find a #MuFuTV2021 insight video providing top tips for producing a remix. The guide features various DAWs including Pro Tools, Ableton, GarageBand, BandLab and Cubase. These are examples only – if you feel more comfortable using an alternative DAW this is perfectly acceptable
When you’ve finished your remix export it as an mp3 file to submit it using the form below. Your remix length should be anywhere between 1 to 4 minutes

What’s the prize?
The winner of the remix contest will receive FREE Ultimate membership at Musical Futures Online for their school, as well as a JustPlay playalong of their choice! They’ll get to pick a song of their choice* to be featured in Musical Futures’ Playalong Library which will be available to schools around the world, as well as an acknowledgement of their achievement within the resource itself
