Following the UK government’s recent emergency measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus across the UK, Musical Futures is doing everything possible to ensure that our services remain operational and that we continue to provide the best possible support to the Musical Futures community while acknowledging the difficulties that we are all facing.
Musical Futures Professional Development
Everyone who has a place on our upcoming professional development training this term has been contacted with alternative arrangements made to ensure that everyone has the support and resources they need. In the coming months, while the situation remains so uncertain, we will be taking steps to ensure that teachers and music educators can still access our professional development even if schools remain closed for some weeks.
Other Sources of Support
Our recently published blog on Top 10 resources for music teachers planning for students working from home has some ideas for websites that you may find of use.
This open source Google Doc – Online Tools For Teaching Music – also lists some great resources.
Musical Futures School Closure Pack
In the meantime, we know that many of you are facing huge challenges while you put things in place to support your learners and to provide them with activities which give them the opportunity to continue learning at home. With this in mind, we would like to offer our Musical Futures community a number of free resources to help with the situation. We know that this does not replace teaching but we just want to do our bit to help.
Our School Closure Pack will offer subscribers to our newsletter:
If already a subscriber to our newsletter, then details about the School Closure Pack will be available in the our Musical Futures Newsletter (UK) which we will be sending out regularly to make sure that everyone who wants the free resources to support their learners can get the information to access them.
