A Twitter chat for Musical Futures Australia!

#mufuoz Every Wednesday at 8pm EST-Music teachers in Australia introduce yourself here!

Hosted by @harmony__girl

Over in the UK, #mufuchat has been going strong for 4 years now. Teachers gather at the same time each week to talk about the successes and challenges of Musical Futures in the classroom. Now there’s #mufuoz chat, every Wednesday night for music teachers across Australia to join the conversation.

How do I take part?

To take part in the Twitter chat, all you need to do is send a tweet that includes the hashtag #mufuoz

Remember, if you don’t include the hashtag, then the other participants won’t see your tweet.

Do I need any special software?

No software is required to participate in #mufuoz but we recommend using Tweetdeck for the Twitter chat.

Tweetdeck will allow you to create a continuous search for our hashtag – #mufuoz This will update constantly with the latest tweets in the discussion.

Who are the hosts?

Host are volunteers who have agreed to lead the Twitter discussion on the Wednesday night.

How can I become a host?

If you would like to host a MufuChat, then just send a Twitter DM to @mufuaustralia with the topic you’d like to lead and suggest a key question for the chat.

We hope to see as many of our Australian friends there as possible!

The children I am working with are responding to positively. They are very keen to learn new music and don’t not feel threatened to play. They enjoy the ‘have a go’ and ‘just play’ strategy.

Would be lost without MF – The organisation supports my ethos as a teacher!

Teacher of Music, Turves Green Girls School

Yesterday’ss RSL course was absolutely outstanding. The school was awe inspiring and just walking round the corridors gave me some excellent ideas to implement at my own school. With regards to the RSL aspect of the course, I now have a strong understanding on how to run it and know how my assignment briefs should look etc. etc.
