Casio ‘Action in Music’ Initiative

Casio, renowned producers of digital hybrid pianos, have launched ‘Action in Music’, an initiative that shines a spotlight on outstanding music education and raises awareness of its importance within the curriculum.

Fronted by singer Laura Mvula, the campaign rewards the UK’s most inspiring music teachers through the Music Teacher of the Year Awards, in conjunction with Classic FM. Casio is taking ‘Action in Music’ on a tour of secondary schools to film music classes, talk to pupils about their relationship with music and encourage them to nominate their favourite music teacher.

Brilliant ideas to take forward into my own teaching… a fantastic day – left with lots of new ideas and strategies…

Kate Baxter, Manchester Metropolitan University

Yesterday’ss RSL course was absolutely outstanding. The school was awe inspiring and just walking round the corridors gave me some excellent ideas to implement at my own school. With regards to the RSL aspect of the course, I now have a strong understanding on how to run it and know how my assignment briefs should look etc. etc.
