Jacqui O’Hanlon

Jacqui was appointed Director of Education at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2008. She is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the education department. Prior to working at the RSC Jacqui was a freelance theatre practitioner and actor working in a variety of arts organisations as well as primary and secondary schools across the country. She established the RSC’s Learning and Performance Network, a long term partnership programme with schools and theatres nationally as well as its Schools’ Broadcast series. She also developed and edited the RSC Shakespeare Toolkit for Teachers, which has been distributed to every state-maintained primary and secondary school in England and brings the work of RSC rehearsal rooms to life in classrooms around the country.
