What is your background:
Studied music, composition and education which resulted in a PhD combining these things. My career has led me to crisscross education teaching in prison, sixth-form and higher education; most recently I qualified as a primary teacher. I’ve worked in the non-formal sector leading projects for most of the London orchestras and larger venues as well as a multitude of smaller music education companies. I’m probably best known for my time at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where I was professor and programme leader for their education and community work. I’m now leading similar work for Trinity Laban Conservatoire, working part time in a primary school, and doing other interesting projects such as Musical Futures.

Five words that sum up Musical Futures:
Creative, radical, exciting, valuable, musical.
