I’m a teacher of music at Boclair Academy in Glasgow

What is your background?
I studied BA Applied Music at Strathclyde University and then completed an MPhil researching Scottish Music in schools. I then did my Postgrad in teaching and I am currently teaching part-time at Boclair Academy. I also teach violin and piano at home and have been involved in many local orchestras for young people. I was Musical Director for Pied Piper Productions for secondary students for 5 years. I play in a Ceilidh Band and love taking Folk Groups at school! Trying to learn/play the Ukulele more! Mission when my youngest children go to school is to take the Clarsach back up again!

Five words to sum up Musical Futures:
Energetic, Inspiring, engaging, motivational, fun!

What music are you listening to at the moment?
My Advanced Higher students’ chosen pieces for their analysis! The Vamps – mainly because of my children and occasionally I get to choose my own music which at the moment is Skerryvore and Patsy Reid.
