Introducing the Primary Pathway curriculum available at Musical Futures Online!

Discover a fun, practical approach that helps children develop basic musical skills, ensemble musicianship, and confidence. Perfect for young beginner musicians, the Primary Pathway lets primary teachers tailor lessons to the resources available in their school.

Designed to reflect the values and ethos of the Musical Futures practical approach to music-making, this interactive curriculum provides step-by-step guidance for teaching music in an engaging and enjoyable way.

This session is for all primary music teachers, whatever your level of experience. We’ll show you how to get playing and make the most of our hands-on resources with your learners.

Our resources are designed to support teachers in building rhythmic awareness, musical knowledge, and instrumental skills, complete with suggested activities and lesson plans from our projects focusing on:

  • Warm-ups and rhythm starters
  • Listening and responding
  • Performing with confidence
  • Creative composing
  • Curriculum planning inspiration
